Divide the class into
partners. Previously prepared Cut up sentences in envelopes. Did not tell
the partners which sentence they had to put back in order. Partners worked
together to put it together. Then had one person mess it up and the other
person put it back together. Switch.

reading, think about what your favorite part of the book is. After we
read today, you will tell me your favorite part and draw a picture of
it.
